After a very successful 2024 season which included winning the TRU and earning promotion back into the Marshall Division, Markham Irish are ready to take the next step!
We are seeking an energetic leader to take our young squad into a bold future.
Working out of one of the best rugby fields and facilities in Ontario, you’ll be expected to:
Have proven experience as a rugby coach
Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions that sharpen skills, boost fitness, and prepare for games
Mentor players, fostering a supportive, fun, and inclusive environment
Evaluate performance, give constructive feedback, and help set the team’s sights on constant improvement.
Keep our players safe by promoting proper techniques and ensuring adherence to safety guidelines
Collaborate with other coaches and directors to provide a superior experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a solid grasp of the technical and tactical side of the game.
Leadership, motivation, and the ability to manage high level players
Be highly organized, and available for games and practices
CPR and First Aid certification required, we can assist if needed
Have or be working towards NCCP Community/WR Level 2
MICRC is able to provide top notch equipment and film facilities, as well as financial support for assistant coaches.
This position is compensated with a healthy honorarium.
